Puppys'/Kittens' First Visit to our Spaw

We encourage pets be groomed as soon as they have had their initial vaccinations. The earlier they are exposed the better they will acclimate and accept the process. During this first grooming your pet will receive a nice warm bath and dry, nails trimmed, and ears cleaned. We will also expose them to the vibration of the clipper by clearing hair from their feet pads and sanitary areas. We will then attempt to clear hair away from their eyes. We refer to this process as a 'Face, Feet and Fani'. If your pet adapts easily to this process, we can then proceed to a light trimming of their body fur if that is your request. We will use our years of experience to determine whether it is best to proceed or end the session before attempting a trim we may be unable to complete. Grooming should be a pleasant experience for your pet, not a stressful one.

Your First Visit to our Spaw

It is very important that you arrive on time. Your pets' groomer will come out to meet your pet, discuss your grooming preferences and provide you an estimated time when your pet will be ready. To avoid additional fees, it is also important that you have your pet picked up following their grooming.

Our Policies:

We reserve the right to refuse service for any reason.

Cancellations/Rescheduling:

24-hour notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment, so that we may fill the appointment with another pet in need. Failure to do so may result in a $50 fee paid prior to scheduling a future appointment.

No-Shows:

A no-show appointment is a serious loss of income to our small business therefore if you no-show an appointment, you will be put on a pre-pay status and payment is due at the time of scheduling.

Late Arrivals:

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, we may need to reschedule or limit services offered to avoid the appointments following to get behind schedule. *Exceptions may apply if you call ahead when you are running late.

Late Pick-ups:

At the time of drop off, we will give you an approximate time (average 30 minutes to 2 hours) for pick up. We will notify you immediately following your pet being finished. A day-care fee may be added to accommodate time spent taking care of and assuring your pet remains comfortable until you arrive. Fees are as follows; $25 per 1/2 hour or $50 per 1/2 hour after closing.

Vaccinations:

We do not require vaccinations beyond initial puppy vaccinations. Vaccination protocols are up to the owner and their veterinarian. Studies and a lot of veterinarians' question 'over vaccination' and its safety, therefore we leave it up to each individual owner. As long as you are comfortable with your pets' level of protection, so are we.

De-Matting:

There may be additional fees to de-mat your pet. De-matting is a tedious process to both the pet and the groomer. If the matting is minor and your pet can tolerate it, we will work them out by splitting, thinning and then combing them out, but if the matting is not minor or severe, we will start over and trim the coat to the skin line. We will not put a pet through unnecessary pain and stress of trying to save a coat that is too far gone. If the coat is severely matted and takes longer than normal to remove it, additional fees may also apply.
